XBlazebegins 150 years before the events of BlazBlue in the year 2050, the world a much changed place from what it seems today. The protagonist of this story is Touya Kagami; a fairly average, slightly mild (read: he's a wimp) male teenager who lives with her best friend Hinata and her oldest responsible friend Yuki (who's actually more like the head of the house).

2014-07-07-150154 One day, he is walking home from his part-time job when he hears something calling to him - beckoning him to come with more than just words. Touya follows this "calling" into the restricted room - the site of a major disaster that occurred ten years earlier - and comes face to face with a magic-tainted human referred to as a "Union".
