The Old BloodIt is the first expansion ofWolfenstein: The New Order, a well-received FPP shooter released on PC in 2014. It was developed by MachineGames and published by Bethesda Softworks, just like the original game. Importantly, it is an independent production that can be played without The New Order.

The add-on is a prequel to The New Order and a nod to fans of the series. The game takes place in 1946, when the Germans were about to win World War II. The mini-campaign takes us to Bavaria and is divided into two parts. In the first, B. J. Blazkowicz sneaks into Castle Wolfenstein to steal coordinates that reveal the location of Deathshead's General Research Station. In the second part, the search for intelligence data leads the protagonist to the city of Wulfburg, where a mad German archaeologist discovers mysterious artifacts that could unleash ancient evil powers. The experiments go wrong, so Blazkowicz not only has to fight enemy soldiers, but also Nazi zombies. We will release both completely new and old weapons.

Graphics-wise, the PC version of The Old Blood doesn't deviate significantly from what we know about The New Order. It is still a very attractive production powered by the Id Tech 5 engine.
