Wolfensteinfor PC and PS3 is another installment in the first-person shooter series that tells the story of B.J. Blazkowicz, an Allied soldier fighting in World War II. It is the fourth installment in full 3D, after Wolfenstein 3D, Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.
The story is set in 1943. While the Allied forces seem to be gaining weight over the enemy, the Germans are still trying to tip the balance in their favor. Led by Heinrich Himmler, they are working on a mysterious weapon known as the Black Sun. In doing so, the Nazis are using occult practices to take control of the world. Blazkowicz is the only one capable of stopping them.
The story in Wolfenstein for PC and PS3 takes place in a fictional German city of Isenstadt. The place is crawling with Nazis and full of alleys, sewer tunnels, and rooftops for the player to reach. The city is the player's base of operations, because the protagonist always prepares for the missions that begin here. Blazkowicz visits a sprawling farm, an excavation site, a train station, a hospital, a castle and an airport.
