Warriors All-Stars takes the player to a fantasy world where peace and order are guarded by the mysterious energy called "spring." The idyll comes to an end, as along with the king's death, the force begins to die, bringing the specter of doom.

However, all is not lost yet - the queen attempts to save the world by passing an ancient legend to her daughter. According to her mother's instructions, the princess needs to perform an ancient ritual thanks to which a true hero from another dimension will visit the world, restore order and enthrone a legitimate ruler. However, something goes wrong, and the world is visited by numerous heroes who are scattered around the world and fight for opposing and power-hungry parties.
