The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxeis an extended reissue of The Stanley Parable, the award-winning first-person adventure released in 2013. The basic version of the production has been enriched with new endings, locations and monologues from the narrator. The title was announced during The Game Awards 2018.
Ultra Deluxe is a narrative experiment. There are no traditional fun mechanics, opponents or classic logical challenges. Instead, it's all about telling an interesting story, the course of which we can shape through our own decisions.
We play the title role of Stanley, the 427th employee of a large corporation, whose role and position are never fully explained.
You will play as Stanley and you will not play as Stanley. They will make a choice, and their choices will be taken away from them. The game will end, the game will never end. Contradiction follows contradiction, the rules of how games should work are broken and then broken again. You are not here to win. The Stanley Parable is a game that plays you.
