The Last Faith PC

The Last Faithis an indie action platform metroidvania. It was developed by Kumi Souls Games and crowdfunded on Kickstarter.

The game is set in a dark fantasy world, in the Gothic city of Mythringal, the capital of a powerful kingdom. The city suffered a devastating civil war and a plague that nearly destroyed it.

The reigning religious cult has left the inhabitants abandoned to their fate, although all is not yet lost. The protagonist, the amnesiac Eric, begins to search for answers about an ancient prophecy and becomes embroiled in a massive intrigue, gradually learning the truth about the corruption that consumes the world.

Mechanics

The Last Faith is a side scrolling game. The player traverses vast and diverse areas, ranging from powerful citadels, palaces and temples to dark dungeons. The areas are interconnected forming a labyrinthine world map, with access to some of them being prohibited until we acquire specific skills or equipment.

As we explore, we will have to solve environmental puzzles and face monsters of all kinds: those that walk, those that fly, and those that crawl. Enemies range from common mooks to much more powerful bosses that are bigger, stronger, and tougher.

Combat is an important part of the game. We must be fast, agile, time our dodges and counterattacks, making good use of Eric's equipment and skills. The protagonist wields melee weapons and firearms (used to stagger enemies), as well as powerful magic.

Our equipment can also be improved by infusing it with elemental powers (such as Diamond Dust, which adds a brief freezing effect to our attacks).
