European developer Cauldron follows The History Channel Presents: Civil War - A Nation Divided swaps bayonets for sub-machine guns in Battle for the Pacific. This first-person shooter has players fighting alongside a tight-knit squad in some of the most intense battles fought on the Eastern Front of World War II.
From Henderson Field to Mount Suribachi, players will advance through dense jungles, across volcanic islands and past fortified caves to complete objectives. Documentary videos preamble each mission, offering detailed statistics, battle footage, and other insightful information. Authentic mission types include recapturing airfields, repelling enemy attacks, undertaking search and destroy operations, and more.
Among the weapons available to players are submachine guns, sniper rifles, pistols and grenades. Online support is included for both Allied and Axis forces in a variety of competitive and cooperative modes.
