The Amazing Spider-Manis another game that features the hero of the popular comic series. The game was released by Activision and developed by the Beenox studio that created e.g. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: Edge of Time. However, a new team of developers, who did not work on the previous Spider-Man titles, are responsible for this game.

The game was released around the same time as Mark Webb's "The Amazing Spider-Man" movie. However, the developers decided to present a completely separate story, so even though the locations and characters are similar, the game cannot be treated as a faithful adaptation. It should also be mentioned that the events in the game take place after the end of the movie.

The Amazing Spider-Man takes place in New York. We play as Peter Parker, a teenager who, after being bitten by a radioactive spider, discovers his new special powers. Those powers allow players to climb tall buildings, jump from rooftops, swing on spider webs, and perform various spectacular stunts.
