Syberia The World Beforeis an adventure game and the fourth installment of the popular game series. It was developed by Microids, and the project was headed by Benoit Sokal, a Belgian artist who was responsible for all previous parts of the series and productions such as Sinking Island, Nikopol: Carnival of Immortal or Paradise.
Syberia: The World Before is a sequel to the previous parts, but it has been developed in such a way that it is not necessary to know them to play. The action of this game is set in two different eras, in which we control different characters.
In 2004, Kate Walker's search for her own identity takes her to a salt mine in the Siberian taiga. The heroine becomes trapped in underground tunnels, turning the expedition into a true fight for survival. In 1937, we go to the fictional Vaghen and play as 17-year-old Dana Roze.
The protagonist is on the verge of a great career as a pianist, but the Second World War and the threat of growing fascism keep her awake. Discovering long-forgotten secrets falls on the shoulders of both protagonists.
