Star Trek/ Game For PC / Windows is the work of the Canadian studio Digital Extremes, authors of titles such as Unreal Tournament, Dark Sector and The Darkness 2. The game developers decided to fill the gap between the two films: Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek 2 (2012), while expanding their story with new elements. Marianne Krawczyk (writer of God of War), as well as Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman (co-writers of the original films), among others, participated in the production of Star Trek.

In the Star Trek game, you follow two characters, James T. Kirk and Spock, on their new and dangerous adventure. The captain of the USS Enterprise receives a call for help from a certain station. In this way, Kirk and Spock discover an intergalactic intrigue about a mysterious Gorn race, which is trying to launch an invasion on the Federation planets. To prevent the unfolding events, the heroes are ready to explode anything in their path.

The adaptation of a renewed edition of the Star Trek universe follows the style of JJ Abrams' films. Therefore, it is an action game with a deck system and character development. It is worth noting that each of the heroes has slightly different abilities. Kirk uses a weapon that is capable of stunning opponents, while Spock can freeze them.
