A download-only game timed to coincide with the release of J.J. Abrams' reinvention of the Star Trek mythology, Star Trek: D-A-C allows players to join up to 11 friends in arcade-style space combat. Players can choose from a number of different Federation and Romulan ships, and although the USS The Enterprise is featured, the game features no other significant movie tie-ins regarding plot or characters. Single-player missions find players fighting alongside AI robots, while multiplayer options include both a cooperative mode and versus mode. Each mission is designed to last approximately ten minutes, and players can earn upgrades to special ships and weapons along the way.
