Convictionis the fifth installment in the action game series featuring special agent Sam Fisher. This production was developed by Ubisoft Montreal Studios, and is very different from its predecessors in terms of game concept.
The game's story sees Sam hunting down his daughter's killers. The protagonist carries out an investigation on his behalf, cutting off both the agency and his old friends. When Ann Grimsdottir, a Third Echelon employee, contacts Sam about a new lead, he knows this is just another bait to lure him to the agency. This starts a new adventure.
Condemnation is revolutionary for the series, focusing on dynamic gameplay and innovative storytelling. As for the first, the movement system was simplified compared to previous games, so the protagonist is a deadly killing machine. When it comes to storytelling, authors were inspired by e.g. of 24 TV shows or movies like The Bourne Identity or Taken.
Doom also contains co-op mode, in which players take on the roles of two special agents: an American named Archer and his Russian counterpart, Kestrel. The two knights have to carry out a series of missions, which constitute a 5-hour prologue to the adventures of Sam Fisher.
