Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends are ready to jump onto their board boards - customized for their own unique talents - and rise to a heavyweight challenge from their arch-nemesis Dr Eggman. The evil doctor has challenged racers to compete in a tough World Grand Prix, with the prize of an ultra-rare Chaos Emerald.

They burn through a series of wild places in the Sonic universe, pulling out extraordinary tricks and tricks to the end, trying to seize the emerald from the clutches of Dr. Eggman and his famous band of horsemen, the Gang of Thieves: Babylon.
