Solium Infernum PC 2024

Solium Infernumis a 4X turn-based strategy developed by the League of Geeks studio, authors of the very well received Armello. It is a remake of the game released in 2009 with the same title, which was developed by independent developer Vic Davis (known as Cryptic Comet).

This game takes us on a journey to the Kingdom of Hell. After the ruler of darkness disappeared without news, the infernal conclave demands that a successor be chosen as soon as possible. That's why a bloody power struggle has broken out among the powerful there, with the infernal throne at stake. We play the role of one of the lords, who must subdue his rivals before being able to take control of all hell.

In Solium Infernum we observe the action from above. Before starting the game, we choose one of the eight archdemons, which are differentiated by their powers and available resources, such as fortresses or legions. Later, we have no choice but to join the political games of hell.

All the duties of a claimant to the infernal throne fall upon our shoulders. So we deal with diplomacy, trying to skillfully maneuver through the labyrinth of hellish politics (while avoiding conspiracies and intrigues or trying to use them for our own benefit), make more or less lasting alliances and conquer enemy territories and defend ourselves from the enemy attacks.

As we progress, we gain new abilities through powers and units that unlock over time. At the same time, it is worth remembering that each of our decisions has consequences that are difficult to reverse (or even irreversible).

A unique solution that distinguishes this title from other representatives of the genre is the simultaneous turns for each of the game participants. This means that during the game we have to show not only intelligence, cunning and knowledge of infernal realities, but also the ability to anticipate the opponents' movements to always be one step (or several) ahead of them.
