Shock Tacticsis a role-playing and strategy game released on April 11 and developed by Point Blank Games for PC.
In this game each playthrough will take place on a procedurally generated planet, your adversaries are not aliens (although they may be present), you will be sticking to The Man. The Imperial Consortium is the name that The Man goes by in this particular future and As a space pioneer, you'll be fighting mercenaries to wrest control of the planet and its ancient secrets.
Your team, the first wave of Free Space Pioneers, explore a new alien planet. In their search for alien technology across this hostile world, you lead your team in tactical combat against pirates, alien creatures, and Imperial Consortium troops. Create outposts and open excavations that allow you to exploit the secrets hidden in this new world, to repel the invasion that is to come. You will have everything at your disposal, but nothing will come for free.
Shock Tactics makes several attempts to create a new flavor sensation. It's an exploratory game, in which you'll search for alien artifacts to improve your squad's abilities, and base construction appears to take place on the map rather than in a discrete location.
