Rust is a game from Facepunch Studios, the creators of Garry's MOD, which is currently in a pre-release alpha state and playable on PC and Mac. The game is a first-person survival title where the player has to start from scratch, with nothing but a rock to serve as a resource and weapon gathering tool, and try to survive in a harsh, irradiated desert populated by wild animals and other players. In its initial state Rust was heavily inspired by Day-Z including the extent to which zombies were used as enemies, however, in February 2014, the zombies were removed and replaced with bears.
