Risk of Rain 2for PC is the continuation of a well-received game that combines elements of platform games, role-playing games and roguelike productions. Like its predecessor, the game has been developed by Hopoo Games.

As with the first installment in the series, the PC version of Risk of Rain 2 does not feature any elaborate story. Once again, a player takes on the role of a character traversing the surface of an unknown distant planet with the goal of surviving in this unwelcoming environment and exploring places full of aggressive adversaries.

In the game, a player observes the action from the third-person perspective (TPP). Like other games representing this genre, one has to move between platforms, avoid countless traps and fight against opponents using an elaborate arsenal as well as unique abilities of particular characters. Compared to its predecessor, Risk of Rain 2 offers an improved character development system and elaborate crafting mechanics.
