A sequel toPrince of Persia: The Sands of Time, in this (The Soul of the Warrior) which, like its predecessor, is a dynamic action-adventure game.
This time, the Prince has to face his own destiny, as his life is threatened by Dahaka, an incarnation of immutable destiny. The dangerous journey (which is, in fact, an attempt to escape death) takes the hero to a cursed island.

Most of the game mechanics remained unchanged: you keep running and jumping through the game levels, avoiding complicated traps, using different mechanics, etc. The atmosphere of the game is much darker than the previous part. The prince looks more mature and the places he visits are ominous (old gardens, a ship graveyard, a Persian ship, a huge castle, etc.).

Combat was emphasized much more than before. Monsters and bloodthirsty enemies stay in the path of the Prince, whom you eliminate using a new Free Form Combat System (combine blows into combos, you can even snatch enemy weapons from their hands). Also, the creators modified the attack system at a distance: you can throw swords at enemies.
