Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is another entry in the perfect soccer simulation series developed by Konami's Tokyo branch (in Japan, the game is known as Winning Eleven 10).

Compared to its predecessor, the game offers several improvements in terms of its new functionalities, as well as gameplay mechanics, and original teams. This series has introduced new licensed national teams, such as the Netherlands, England, Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, as well as clubs such as Bayern Munchen and Manchester United.

For the first time in the series, Pro Evolution Soccer 6 introduces the International Challenge mode (equivalent to the World Cup), which allows players to acquire the most prized soccer trophy for their favorite team.
