As I mentioned above, this is not a sequel to Mirror's Edge, but rather a completely new game that uses the world and characters, as well as story elements and gameplay, from its predecessor. The action takes place in the city of Glass, one of the many metropolises in the futuristic, almost totalitarian world, which has no authority whatsoever.
Instead, the power is in the hands of powerful and influential corporations affiliated with the so-called Conglomerate. Their society, living in constant fear, is being persistently surveilled and any resistance on their part is brutally thwarted.
Players take on the role of Faith, a "runner" known from the original Mirror's Edge, who mastered the art of moving through the urban jungle, and due to her unusual abilities, makes a living through petty theft, industrial espionage and his illegal work as a courier. Thanks to Faith's skills and incredible determination, it is she who can become the catalyst for change that could spark a revolution and end the totalitarian reign of corporations.
