Metro Exodusfor PC, PS4 and XONE is a post-apocalyptic first-person action game and part of the Metro game series. Like the series' previous series, Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light, it was developed by 4A Games.
The game takes us to a post-apocalytic world where civilization was destroyed by a global nuclear war. Once again we play as Artyom who, together with a group of survivors, has to leave the Moscow subway tunnels and go east across the devastated world in search of a new home. This time, the campaign takes place over an entire year, allowing us to see the post-nuclear war world during different seasons.
As usual, we get a first-person shooter where we will focus on exploration, combat, and robbery. This time, however, most of the story campaign takes place above ground, on large, open maps that give us more freedom than areas in previous Metro games.
More sandbox-like gameplay is not the only change we can see here. To move between locations we will use Aurora, a renovated steam train engine. Dynamic weather and day/night cycle were also implemented.
