Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Paynefor PC, PS2 and XBX is a sequel to the brilliant 2001 action game, which told the dramatic story of a police officer, Max Payne, who fights against a criminal organization responsible for spreading a dangerous new drug. called valkyra.
The action takes place in New York, a year after the events of the first part. The player will meet the characters of the first Max Payne who managed to survive. Max is back on the NYPD and for a short time his life seemed to be on the right track.
Unfortunately, the demons from his past reappeared in the form of criminals ready to kill him, along with Mona, a mysterious assassin known from the first part, with whom Max falls in love (she responds to the feeling, as will be seen later). Things become more complex when Max, confused by her doubts and feelings for Mona, murders her.
