Lost Planet 3for PC, X360 and PS3 is another installment in an action game series that takes place on an alien ice planet. The franchise was created by a Japanese company Capcom, but the third game was prepared by a third-party developer: Spark Unlimited Studios. The developer is known for Turning Point: Fall of Liberty, Legendary, and other games.

In Lost Planet 3 you return to the roots of the series to learn about the origins of the human colony on E.D.N. III (story takes place before the events of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition). This time you take on a role, not of a soldier or warrior, but of an ordinary mining mech operator: Jim, who comes to this world in search of money.

Therefore, the pinnacle of the game is the story campaign, which takes place in a frozen environment only (in the previous installment you can also visit the jungle and desert areas). Jim, in addition to walking, also moves aboard a mine mechanic with mechanical arms. One of these serves as a clamp, while the second is a drill. Interestingly, while controlling the vehicle, you observe the world from the first-person perspective, while when fighting on foot, in the third person.
