Lara Croft and The Guardian of LightIt is not a complete installment of the classic Tomb Raider series. Instead, it is an attempt to approach the archaeologist's adventures from a different angle. The game is played from an isometric view, focusing on cooperation between two characters. Despite these radical changes, the game still features elements considered hallmarks of the Tomb Raider series, such as platform sections, shooting sequences or puzzle solving.
Lara Croft and The Guardian of Light for PC, X360 and others tells the story of an adventure that Lara Croft and a Mayan warrior by the name of Totec spent together. The setting is not particularly deep here, offering an easy-to-digest story that is full of humor and resembles adventure films.
The plot centers around a mysterious artifact known as the Smoke Mirror. The main antagonist is called Xolotl, a nightmare who is in control of other ghosts. Xolotl was freed from the Mirror, so the player encounters hordes of fallen warriors, enormous salamanders, and other such monstrous enemies.
