Billed as the largest online first-person shooter at the time of its release, Joint Operations: Combined Arms supports up to 150 simultaneous players on battlefields spanning 40 square miles in size. As the title suggests, Combined Arms is a compilation of two critically acclaimed games: Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising and its expansion pack, Joint Operations: Escalation, each with updated patches.
The game focuses on modern-day combat with players fighting in the jungles of Indonesia and exotic Southeast Asia as part of a coalition or separatist movement. Combined Arms offers multiple soldier classes, an arsenal of 44 authentic weapons, and 35 air and ground vehicles to command during the day or at night. Players can compete online using the publisher's custom-hosted NovaWorld or LAN-based gaming service for up to 64 combatants.
