Igniteis a 3D racing game with arcade gameplay. This is reflected in the steering model, the nitro based on the editorial points, and the cars ability to swerve and take simple damage.
The game takes a tactical approach to nitro, as using it too much depletes your score, which becomes a time bonus at the end of a race. This means that racers who use too much nitro and finish first can end up losing the race.
The player is a car driver and must win the races, the game has three different types of racing cars: muscle, street and racing, and several different variations. There are also three types of events and 35 races in total.
The events are Career mode (regular races), Knockout mode (elimination of the last racer after each lap), and Challenge (which starts with a score, gradually decreases but can be won with stunts, when there are no more The race is over.) The game supports online multiplayer for up to five players.
