Hardspace: Shipbreakeris a simulation game developed by Blackbird Interactive, and we are talking about a team whose portfolio includes, among other things, RTS Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak.
The game allows us to take on the role of a space scrap collector, earning money by selling dismantled parts of abandoned ships.
Hardspace: Shipbreaker takes us to a future where interstellar travel is part of everyday life. As technology constantly evolves, obsolete spacecraft are abandoned and found in Earth orbit.
The hero of the game is Cutter, a space scrap collector, who aims to get rich by selling dismantled components from these shipwrecks. First, however, the protagonist must pay off the enormous multi-billion dollar debt he has incurred at LYNX to kick-start his career.
In Hardspace: Shipbreaker, the action is shown from the first-person perspective (FPP). During the game, we dismantle valuable parts from the wreckage of spaceships and systematically transport them to our own ship.
At the same time, we can also learn more about the history of the crashed ships (many of them arrived in orbit from deep space) and learn the history of their crews.
