Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashedis a multiplayer action game based on the iconic film series license. It was developed by the Illfonic studio, known for projects such as Friday the 13th: The Game or Predator: Hunting Grounds.
The action of Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed takes place after the events presented in the 2021 film Ghostbusters: Afterlife. The Ghostbusters have resumed their activities and the new team is under the supervision of two famous predecessors; They are advised by Winston Zeddemore (played by Ernie Hudson) and Ray Stantz (played by Dan Aykroyd).
In Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, a team of four Ghostbusters search for... well, ghosts. Taking on the role of one of them, we observe the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). To catch the unwanted visitor from beyond, we not only have to work closely together, but also make use of the futuristic weapons and gadgets at our disposal.
We are talking about a detector that allows us to detect an invisible enemy, a proton blaster that allows us to attack a ghost with a beam of energy and a trap in which we can trap the enemy (as long as we manage to close it at the right time).
