InGangs of London, the player takes the role of a member of a criminal gang who wants to take control of London. The game's basic premise is reminiscent of the GTA series, but instead of a free roaming experience, the campaign consists of 70 short missions that are chosen through a menu screen.

Each of them is accompanied by a sequence of stories in comic style and presents varied objectives: escort, infiltrate an enemy outpost, steal cars, kidnap people, compete, defend your own position against enemy waves and kill people.

The game itself offers what one would expect from a game like this: if the player is on foot, the game is basically a third-person shooter; sometimes he has a few other gang members with him and can give them some commands. The driving is action oriented in first or third person and the stealth segments are basic and only require perceiving the guard's patrols and killing them from behind.
