Extinctionis an action-adventure game for PC/Windows. The title was developed by Iron Galaxy, a studio that didn't create many games, but helped produce bestsellers like BioShock Infinite and Borderlands 2.

Humans were always fighting each other, but the real threat was elsewhere, in the form of giant ogres who finally decided to come out of the shadows. They can only be fought by specially trained Sentinels. Unfortunately, there aren't many of these Sentinels left. The player takes on the role of one of the last, named Avila, who must face the giant creatures.

Extinction for PC/Windows is an action game focused primarily on combat. The developers implemented an interesting combat system that combines action with tactics. Avil is a very agile and fast warrior who can climb buildings, run on walls and jump. He uses a special whip that can be used not only for movement, but also in combat. Due to their size, ogres are dangerous enemies. Before the player can kill that beast, they must first disarm it and attack its weak points. Only after that is it possible to perform an execution.

The battles are never similar to each other because the ogres are accompanied by lesser opponents and the surroundings can be destroyed during the fight. Enemies can attack from the ground and from the sky. This creates a spectacular and explosive mix that forces the player to play carefully and quickly adapt to the dynamic changes of the situation.
