The first Dragon Ball Z game on PSP, Shin Budokai is a head-to-head fighting game with 18 cel-shaded combatants and wireless support for head-to-head matches.

As with previous games in the Budokai series, players must master a series of special moves, transformations, counters, and other attacks to win quick battles that take place on the ground and in the air.

Two game options include a story mode based on the animated film Dragon Ball Z: Rebirth of Fusion and a network mode where two friends compete for a local wireless connection with their choice of characters and settings.

Game features:
- Play as or challenge 18 merciless Dragon Ball Z warriors including Cooler, Janemba and Goku
- Single player line based on the movie "Rebirth of Fusion".
- Seven total game modes
- High-speed WiFi compatible with multiplayer games
