The sequel to the 2010 fantasy action game, Darksiders II features a larger world, more expansive dungeons, and all new enemies and boss battle characters.

The action once again takes place from a third-person perspective, with hack-and-slash combat now enhanced by upgradable weapons and armor. Darksiders II also features more role-playing elements, incorporating both a leveling system and skill tree. The world includes multiple cities that serve as starting points for side quests, dungeons, and conversations with non-player characters.

Darksiders II is available in a limited and collector's edition. The limited edition, given to those who pre-order the game, includes a code for the Tomb of Argul DLC pack. The collector's edition features a replica of Death's mask with stand, an art book, a downloadable soundtrack, Tomb of Argul content pack, and the "Shadow of Death" with weapons and armor set in the set. game.
