CortexCommandIt is developed and published by Data Realms, it was released in September 2012 for Windows.
A project over eleven years in the making, Cortex Command has rich 2D pixel graphics with an extremely detailed physics engine, allowing for highly replayable and emergent real-time action. There's also a turn-based strategic campaign mode that ties tactical fights together, with persistent terrain that will accumulate battle scars, debris and bunker ruins throughout your campaign.
Choose from several unique technology factions, each with their own sets of disposable soldier bodies, mechs, weapons, tools, and landing craft. Protect your brain, mine gold and destroy enemy cortex in their bunker complex!
Game Features:
- Completely destructible environments
- The gold you need to dig is sprinkled all over the terrain in each scene.
- Use special digging tools to blast your way into dirt and debris.
-All body and ship pieces from your fights will fall to the ground and be permanently added to the battlefield. Get more powerful (and expensive) excavators and can even tunnel into your enemies' bunkers below!
