Call of Duty Black Ops IIfor PC is a first-person military shooter, the ninth installment of the most popular game series of the genre. It was developed by experienced Treyarch Studios, the team behind Call of Duty 3, Call of Duty: World at War and Call of Duty: Black Ops.

COD: Black Ops II is set in an unusual setting for the series. In 2025, another cold war breaks out, in which the opposing sides are the United States of America and China. The bet is on rare earth elements necessary for the production of expensive electronic components and for alternative energy. The main character of the story is David Mason (son of Alex Mason, known from the first Black Ops), and his nemesis is Raúl Menéndez from Nicaragua.

The game is a direct continuation of Call of Duty: Black Ops, so we find a lot of flashbacks to the 1980s here, as well as some old friends. Along with Alex Mason, Frank Woods also returns. Due to the future setting of Call of Duty: Black Ops II for PC/Windows, the game features advanced and futuristic weapons and equipment, which are currently in the early stages of development in military laboratories.
