Blood Westfor PC is a Western-style first-person survival horror shooter. It's another project from Warsaw-based indie studio Hyperstrange, which previously created Elderborn and Postal: Brain Damaged.
In Blood West we play a dead gunman who is not granted peace. Instead of heaven (or hell), a cursed mining town awaits him, overrun by demons and ancient horrors. In this place you cannot count on faith and prayers for the dead; only a shotgun at your side brings you comfort and perhaps allows you to stop this adventure in the afterlife.
Although the mix of FPS and hordes of hell may remind you of the Doom series, Blood West goes in a slightly different direction. Instead of incredible stunts and harrowing action, the creation of the Hyperstrange studio features more methodical gameplay and some survival. Of course, there are dynamic confrontations with demonic enemies, but the game does not discourage us from silently eliminating them.
Scouting locations and finding resources like ammunition play an important role. Additionally, as we progress through the game, we develop the character's attributes, which makes it easier to fight against increasingly difficult groups of enemies.
