InBioShock Infinite GOTYThe player becomes Detective Booker DeWitt, who is forced to find a young woman, Elizabeth, to pay his debts.

She is held captive on the floating city of Columbia in an alternate version of 1912. During her travels, Booker encounters different factions within the city fighting each other. The Founders want Columbia to remain a city only for pure Americans, while Vox Populi believes the city should be available to everyone.

The setting is built around the idea of ​​exceptionalism with strong religious doctrine and overt racism. Elizabeth is a key player in this conflict and has a mysterious origin that includes her powers to cause tears in the fabric of space-time, exposing parallel universes. Booker and Elizabeth stay together for most of the game and she acts alone.

She doesn't need to be defended, she throws ammunition and silver eagle coins at Booker and can be asked to pick locks. They are pursued by the spiritual leader Comstock and his troops, along with the mechanical giant Songbird.

The game uses similar gameplay styles and mechanics as previous BioShock games. Vigors give the player superpowers to do a variety of things, such as sending a massacre of crows to peck at enemies or charming enemies into defending him. Another is possession which is used to take over humans or machines to temporarily turn them into allies.
