Battlefield 2for PC is a continuation of the extremely popular PC FPS games titled Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield Vietnam, as well as Battlefield: Modern Combat for PlayStation 2.

The game focuses on a hypothetical armed conflict at the end of the 21st century, when three factions confront each other: the United States, China and the coalition of Middle Eastern states. Of course, each side has a rich arsenal of ammunition, including small arms (M-4 rifle, M-9 pistol, etc.) and all types of vehicles (about thirty machines, including the M1A2 Abrams tank, the UH-60A helicopter Black Hawk and the HMMWV vehicle).

Virtual battlefields (detailed environments of very high interactivity) refer to real locations in various parts of the world (urban areas, dense forest formations, etc.). Even more than a hundred people can participate in a battle at the same time (the size of the map is determined by the number of soldiers present at a given time). The military service works not only on the front line, but also at the headquarters, so both shooting fans and experienced strategists should be happy. Advancing increases the military rank required to unlock hidden surprises (e.g. additional types of weapons).
