Battlefield 1942for PC is an FPS set in World War II that focuses on multiplayer. The production is published by Electronic Arts and developed by Swedish Digital Illusions, mainly famous for racing games such as Motorhead, Rallisport Challenge and the Swedish Touring Car Championship series.

In Secret Weapons of WWII the player is given eight new campaigns set in different parts of Europe affected by conflict, such as Telemark, Peenemuende (V2 rocket production facility), Essen or The Eagle's Nest (Hitler's hideout).

Thirty vehicles available in the basic version of the game were expanded by another sixteen, such as the famous Flying Wing Horten HO 229, the American Sherman tank equipped with a T-34 Calliope rocket launcher, a Goblin fighter-bomber, a C-47 transport aircraft , Armstrong Whitworth AW-52, the German Wasserfall guided missiles, and so on.
