Astral Ascentfor PC is set in a fantasy universe, in the Garden, a prison guarded by twelve guardians who represent the signs of the zodiac. Our four playable characters try to escape this place while learning more about it, its inhabitants, and themselves.

Astral Ascent begins with choosing one of four playable characters, all of whom differ in terms of weaponry and playstyle. Ayla is a dagger-wielding assassin, Kiran is a powerful warrior, Calie is a sculptor who harnesses the power of magical gems, while Octave is a soldier who wields two ethereal pistols.

The game is side scrolling. The world is made up of four biomes, each divided into twelve rooms. The areas are diverse and we travel through them moving to the right, jumping on platforms, avoiding traps, fighting enemies and facing various challenges. There are also many arenas where we will face the guardians in boss battles.

Each boss has different skills and fighting style, strengths and weaknesses. To be successful, we must discover and exploit them.

Comabt is fast-paced, requires good reflexes, and uses several spells. These are divided into three types: in addition to the common spells and defensive spells that all characters share, we will also use magic exclusive to the characters. Attacks can be chained together into deadly and effective combos.

We will find more powers and tactics, additional effects for our spells, in chests, or we will buy them from merchants by spending the collected crystals. We will also find altars and artifacts that will provide us with various benefits. As we progress, we become able to take on greater challenges and customize our character to suit our play style.
