Aliens: Colonial Marinesis an FPS with cooperative mode set in the Alien universe. The game was developed by Gearbox Software, creators of "Brothers in Arms" or "Borderlands." "Colonial Marines" continues the story of the film: its plot begins where "Alien 3" ended.

You play as Christopher Winter, an American colonial marine corporal who is on a rescue mission in search of Ellen Ripley, the protagonist of the "Alien" film series. His assignment takes him to familiar locations, such as the USS Sulaco and the colonial planet LV-426, where soldiers face terrifying enemies: aliens, monsters created to kill. What happened to Ripley? The game tells the previously unknown story, shedding new light on the series.

This game offers a campaign that includes eleven missions that you can complete alone or cooperatively. When playing split screen, two players can participate. When you play online, four people can cooperate.

The developer designed the missions to fit the series as much as possible: they show characteristic locations, refer to known problems, and offer players familiar equipment. Weapons include flamethrowers or a smart gun that detects enemies. An important element is a motion detector that plays a distinctive sound when targets approach.
