Alan Wakefor PC/Windows is another creation from the people behind the popular Max Payne series. The game was developed as a psychological action thriller and the developers were clearly inspired by the cult series by David Lynch and Mark Frost titled Twin Peaks.
Contrary to the Xbox 360 version, the PC/Windows edition comes with The Signal and The Writer expansions.
The eponymous protagonist is a renowned writer. However, he hasn't been able to write a new one for two years. His wife, Alice, decided to take a vacation in the quaint town of Bright Falls to overcome her blockage. After the initial romance, the protagonist's fiancee disappears under mysterious circumstances, so Wake sets out to find her.
It turns out that Bright Falls is not so idyllic, but rather dark and full of evil forces, like that of Alan's last work, a thriller that he does not remember writing. In the game, we go through the city and its surroundings. , interact with citizens, find fragments of the written novel and fight or escape from enemies.
