Against the Storm PC

Against the Stormfor PC is a city-building strategy game with roguelike elements. It was developed by independent Polish studio Eremite Games.

The game is set in a fantasy world inhabited by humans, beavers and lizards. The earth is under constant attack by Blightstorm, a powerful storm that periodically destroys everything in its path. We play as a viceroy, who has been tasked by his lord to acquire the necessary resources to rebuild and improve the capital, Smoldering City. To achieve this, we must build new settlements in nature and face many adversities.

Against the Storm makes use of top-down perspective. The game follows the cycle of three rain periods, which vary in terms of rainfall and storm intensity. Being in charge of a newly created settlement, our task is to constantly expand it.

Therefore, we must cut down forests, acquire resources, build structures and create complex production chains. Among the available buildings, the most important are the collector camps, which allow us to exploit natural resources, and the workshops, which produce various goods.

In fulfilling our mission we must also remember our subjects, who need food and a roof over their heads; We should also provide them with some entertainment, which can be found in taverns and other buildings. As we progress through the game, we unlock random upgrades and blueprints that can make it a little easier.
